Tolkien/Middle-Earth Week Approaching

It's that time again pretty soon, when bloggers have Tolkien characters (at least that's how I found out about it) hijack their blogs, and post exclusively Middle-Earth stuff for the week starting on the 22nd (World Hobbit Day!).
I will be trying to come up with something to put up every day. If I fail, well, Geekdom will never die, anyway. Who's with me? I'll be posting Boromir memes, analyzing the new trailer, and trying to listen to the films/read the books in one week even while keeping up with my homework, among other little things.
I am Faramir.

    1. Thanks. I hope you do it too. Perhaps a caption contest? Those are always fun... Wait... Light bulb! :D

  2. I knew it was the Hobbit's book birthday but I did not exactly know it was offically Middle Earth week though. Since I already have a bunch of those posts ready, it is going to be fun. Awesome new profile pic, Faramir son of Denethor.

    1. No one ever said it was official. Last year about six people I follow did it. It's great fun anyway.

  3. I'd like to do it! :D :D
I haven't read all the books in fact I've read only the fellowship.
Technically but I have skipped through the other two books and I'm planning on reading the Hobbit before it comes out at the Movies.
We are going to celebrate Bilbo's birthday but it'll be on the Friday which is 75 years since the Hobbit was first published.
I've had a post on Frodo's and Sam's friendship in my drafts for ages!
I don't know if I would participate every day but I will certainly try.
Now to think of a character...............Samwise Gamgee and than I can call Frodo 'Mr Frodo' all the time! :D

    1. I thought you did that one a while ago... But that was just the sidebar pic, wasn't it? Yes! Read it this week, and then watch the new trailer and see just how crazy the dark adventures of Bilbo became on the big screen! No surprise that you haven't read the whole trilogy yet. it seemed unusual that my brother and I had by that time. They are epic! (of course) ROTK book for the win!

  4. I'm afraid I am not going to be doing it this year. I find myself besieged by the upcoming filming of Grail Lords next month. But do not let my lack of blogging deter any of you! Blog on bravely! Long live Tolkien and LOTR Blog Week! My sister, Victoria, and Hannah (Liz from Totus Tuus) started this blog tradition along with a friend many years ago. Glad the tradition is being carried on. Good luck! Mae go Vahnen! (Elvish for good-bye)
