Life Goes On...

Assuming I put in my usual level of work, I will finally get out of High School at the end of next month. Yay. After that I will try to get into a junior college to start off but due to complex web of cluelessness and expense accounts that come with running the government, one has to practically time-travel to get in on time, so I don't know if that will work. I've always thought I wanted to work at a newspaper, but since newspapers are dying I will probably have to find something else quick. Right now what I'm dealing with is just awful because it appears to be impossible to make shoes that work for me. They wear out so fast it's ridiculous.
I like to draw and I have recently discovered a sort of ability for drawing half-way decent face pictures, but I can't draw anything else to save my life. I feel boxed in sometimes by my own doing because somehow I only have one fandom I associate myself with and don't actually do anything, but that's just me dealing with subliminal peer pressure. I'm waiting to find out if I'll be allowed to sing the Modern Major General's song at my graduation. They'd let me do it if there was time...

Sorry about the rambling. I just wanted to say all that. If anyone has ideas for what you would like to see me post, drop a line.

random trivia I just realized: Gimli already knew Eomer's name before he caught them on the fields of Rohan. "Tell me your name, Horse-master, and I will tell you mine." The literal translation of Eomer is actually "master of horses" thus, horse-master, aka Eomer. With a bit of research you can try it on your friends and see if they know the meaning of their own name...:)

  1. I have just finished up most of high school as well, except for some collage preparation and will be starting collage this summer.

Good trivia about Eomer, I knew it and used it in a trivia post several months ago about his name's meaning, but still I interesting.

As for what to post, maybe you should continue with speeches, the one you did with Aragorn's speech was hilarious. One on the Braveheart speech would be fun.

    1. I knew you knew the Middle earth trivia. I wanted to put it out there in case some of the others never caught on...
Speeches? ok cool I will try to do more, but I don't watch a wide range of movies like you do so I only know about a few of the great ones. I'll try to make "Heroes' Speeches, translated" a regular feature though.

  2. Kind of late comment - I wish you all the best in college! You've probably heard this, sometimes taking classes can help you hone in on what you like and are good at - don't worry if you don't have a clear plan going in.

You are really cool to want to sing Modern Major General at your graduation. :D

Oh, that's interesting about Eomer - hadn't realized that!

    1. Thanks.
Yeah, it is my favorite song and I've already done it in front of last year's graduating class. (long story)
Me too- I've known LOTR for years and just caught on the other day. Minor easter egg for geeks, I think. :)
