Accomplishments documented during the Year of Doing Stuff may include, but are not limited to:
- Making actual progress in the use of the expensive leatherstamping kit I was given a couple bdays ago
- Getting better at archery
- Reading x number of books for the first time (though I am not going to go on any binges where I read something marketed below my age level, a la Ranger's Apprentice)
- Getting better at drawing
- The day I shoot the last photo in the nearly-empty memory card of the lightly-used $100 camera I was given at 17
- Doing math lessons ( I have a tendency to forget everything I learned in math the previous semester, so I keep starting fresh and getting slightly better at it)
- Make significant progress in the WIP that has been sustaining my life for the past few years. (I recently came to a conclusion that I am not in reality the writing type, since the idea of this project is in no way exciting. However on most days free writing is the only task I can manage w/o any real physical pain. Besides I'm 60 pages along in the second draft and I know where it's going)
- Since learning to drive is out of the question I think that pretty well sums up my ideas for the coming year. If everything lines up smoothly I will start going to college next August, but I will still do my best to put up a new post every day.
p.s. Another item on my list is to achieve the feat of watching an LOTR extended marathon in one day, for which an opportunity may very well arise during the time I am recovering from the next operation.
Sounds like a good idea. :) will look forward to the posts!
ReplyDeleteIf you don't mind my asking, but do your operations have to be repeated. And I totally understand if you rather not share.
What do you want to study at College?
God Bless,
Vellvin.
They are all different segments of what I consider one huge operation. I'm recovering from phase 2 at the moment. More I will not say at this time.
DeleteI honestly do not know what I want to study in college. I know that it won't be anything involving science though. Some of my posts next year are sure to be about trying to figure out my future...
Also I forgot I wanted to ask you about the clock difference between us b/c I never learned it. If it is 8 in the morning over the U.S. Pacific coast does that match up to afternoon evening or graveyard shift time around your house? I want to know b/c I check your blog all the time to see if you have replied to comments. Also, it will let me know when to check for a comment from you on here.
DeleteOkay. Totally understand. :)
DeleteI actually hate Science! Will look forward to the posts, then.
Hmm, I actually have no idea! Right now as I am writing this comment it is 9:40 am, Saturday morning. The previous comment I have on here says it was published at 2:42 am.
Well, I usually comment either in the morning before I start school or after school, or sometimes in the evening. That doesn't really help though. Most probably just after school or in the evening. It's really confusing! And I don't actually really have a set time which I get on the computer and respond to comments. I just responded to yours on my blog post about Thor.
So yeah, I know that this sounds really unhelpful but I don't have any idea!
God Bless,
Vellvin.
No actually it helps simply that you commented and you mentioned your time. B/c the timestamp on my blog reflects my timezone, and your comments here are exactly twelve hours apart while the second was at 9:40 a.m.Saturday in your house.(It is Friday here when I post an hour later.) Therefore the difference is my time is about 19 hours behind yours. I will try to always post after my dinnertime. My time is five hours later than yours on the day you just woke up from. (i.e. now: here it is 4 p.m. Friday. You are having 11 a.m. on Saturday. So for future reference any post I put up after dinner will be visible to you in the middle of the next afternoon. That ought to clear things up...
DeleteOkay. :) Sometimes I may read a blog post and come back later to comment either because I am not feeling like commenting at that time or I have to dash off and do something. :)
DeleteGod Bless,
Vellvin.
Posting almost every day? Sounds like a cool idea, I look forward to it! Good luck with your list, I hope you succeed and I hope your operation goes well.

Thanks. It may sound like a cliche plan to do w/ a blog but I will do my best to say something every day. Frankly I am tired of posting only 20 times a year and half of them being "Why I hate the latest blockbuster" :)
